We have been giving Ayson's palette a workout with a lot of new foods. We had his 9 month checkup last week and Dr. Gordon told us to start introducing him to meat, as well as table foods. So, he has tried ham, turkey and beef...none of which he likes. Can't say that I blame him...they all smell disgusting and don't taste much better. I have to hide it in with some veggies to get him to eat it ;)
We also tried giving him a banana while we were in Texas. He doesn't like baby food bananas and so, it was no surprise that he wasn't that excited about an actual banana. He just held it on his tongue and kept making gagging sounds...it was all very dramatic :)
Score! We have found some table food that he likes!!! I made biscuits and gravy this morning, so we mashed some up for him, and he loved it!
Ayson is getting pretty good at his army crawl, so he can get places a lot quicker than you think! Last night, I was folding laundry, looked down and found him in the middle of the action. He pulled the laundry basket over and started sorting through the clothes.
And finally, this weekend is the March for Babies walk. We are so excited to participate. We have been asked to share Ayson's story with the walkers before the walk...how exciting! We cannot wait to see everyone who is coming to walk with us...it looks like its going to be a great day! To all of you who have donated, Thank you so much! Your generosity means the world to us and to all preemie babies and their families around the United States. There is still time to donate, (this will be my last plea for donations...I promise!!) just click on the March of Dimes badge on the right of this page to sponsor our amazing little dude!
