New Things
There are a lot of fun, new things going on in little man's world lately. Over about the past two weeks, he has had a comprehension explosion! Now, when we ask him to, he will do quite a few complicated tasks, such as...
Now that he can do all of that, its especially frustrating when he doesn't listen...which happens to be a lot ;) For instance, on this day, instead of waiting until Max was done eating to put his bowl away, he stole it while I wasn't looking; carried it to the hallway; put it up on a box so Sophie couldn't get to it; then began eating the food piece by piece. CAUGHT! On a side note...It's slightly annoying that we can't get him to eat normal food, yet dog food is alright...oh well :)
- Go get his shoes and bring them to us
- Put his shoes up where they belong
- Pick out a book, then bring it to us to read to him
- Put the dog bowls away when they are done eating
- Help us pick up his toys
- Throw his dirty diaper in the trash
- When we say "Let's take a bath," RUN (he loves his baths) to the bathroom and wait by the tub

Aaron's Mini Me
Check out this vintage AC Bulldog shirt...worn previously by someone very special to Ayson.
I bet this brings back some memories for a certain Grammy :)
How fun to have something of Aaron's for Ayson!
Little Gym
Today was our very first class at Little Gym! I'm so glad we decided to try this out because Ays absolutely loved it! Little Gym is just like it sounds...a little gym :) The classes are geared toward young children, with the goals of increasing strength, coordination, listening skills, etc...all while having fun, of course! They put him in with the 19 month-2.5 year old's since he can walk/run really well. He is definitely the youngest in the class, but had no trouble keeping up. He was running, laughing and giggling the whole time. He even hung from the bars by himself...this gymnastics momma was very proud ;)
We will attend classes once a week until June. This will be a great way to burn off some extra energy, as well as an opportunity to interact with other children Ayson's age. Here are a few pics I took on my phone while chasing little dude around.
Making a new friend while waiting to start class
Playing with the parachute...this was one of his favorite activities. He was really good at "squishing the air bubbles!"
Climbing up on the beam.
Randomly pausing to dance to the music :)
Loving bubble time! On a side note...bubbles seem to paralyze children :) This was literally the only time during the whole class where all of the kiddos were focused on the same thing. Too funny!
And here's a short video of Ays climbing over the mats. Not too graceful yet, but it won't take long :) You can also hear him giggling at the end.

The White Stuff
We have finally got our first snow of winter. Look how light and fluffy it is!!! It's not a very impressive amount, but nonetheless we had to go outside and check it out.
Ayson wasn't really sure about it.
He ran around for a little bit, then figured out if he stood under the porch, the snow couldn't get him :)
However, he was really mad when it was time to come inside! So, hopefully we'll get some more so we can actually play in it!

Playdate at the Park
You wouldn't believe it now, but just a few days ago it was beautiful and 60 degrees outside. We had to take advantage of the amazing weather, so we met Braeden & Sheri for a little play date at LaFortune.
Checking out the playground :)
Ayson mostly loved to sprint off in random directions. He LOVES wide open spaces!
Just a swingin'
Lovin' Life
Sweet little B!
He loved crawling through the tubes on the playground.
Sweet, presh, little boy :)

Kicking off 2011
2011 is off to a great start! We have lots of exciting things happening this year.
- Aaron and I will both be turning the big 3-0!
- Ayson will enter the terrible twos ;)
- We will be moving to PC, and most exciting of all...
- Aaron will become a board certified family physician.
I seriously love this...he looks like such a big kid! (Aaron thinks he looks like an Italian gangster in his track suit, haha!)
His new thing is to climb into everything...
Everything that WAS in the basket was no where to be seen, so I started checking around and found ALL of his diapers and wipeys in his hamper. Hmm, he's already trying to hide evidence...this can't be a good sign.
Trying to pack himself into the box that was being shipped to his friend Asher ;)
Sporting the latest trend in nap hair
Happy about the Pokes bowl win!!!!
And finally, Santa brought Ays a ball that lights up, and he thinks its hysterical to bounce it while he's being held. He's pretty good at throwing it hard enough that it will bounce back up at him. Smart lil' stink!
