Playtime with Momma

Ayson is so fun to interact with now. When he is wide awake and happy, he will coo, ohh, and awe, and he is even starting to laugh a little. He's such a sweet little guy...he pretty much loves anyone who will smile and play with him.

He was especially happy this night because he got to be the man of the house while daddy was at the OSU game with Papa Doug.

Thanksgiving Weekend

We had a great time in AC for Ayson's first Thanksgiving. It's always great when we can go back for more than a few days :) We spent Thanksgiving day with the Wilcox side of the family, then had Thanksgiving #2 on Friday with the Milliron's. Then we watched the poor Cowboys fall to those horrible Sooners on Saturday...maybe next year Pokes!

Everybody was crying during this game!!!!

After the game got out of control, our little Poke decided to sleep it off...but not before he spit-up on those Sooners :)

Brave lil' guy

Ayson had his monthly RSV shot this morning, which means we got a new weight and length measurement. He now weighs 9lbs 9ozs and is 21 1/4 in long. He's getting so big! He has more than tripled his birth weight now...pretty amazing!

Ayson also got to meet his "girlfriend" Makinzie Brown. Mak and Ays are just a few weeks apart in age and they are too cute together :) It was great to catch up with her mommy, Alyssa, and meet that sweet little girl. I didn't get any pictures, but Alyssa and Mark got a few, so I will post them later.

We are looking forward to seeing everyone at Ayson's first Thanksgiving!!!!

This was Ayson right before his shot. Poor guy had no clue what was coming. He was very brave though...only cried for a few minutes then was back to his happy self.

He has discovered the toys on his rocker. He loves to hit them with his hands

Mr. Adorable

Ayson is quite the little chatter box now. Of course, the second I get a camera in his face, he doesn't want to show off :) I did manage to get this which I thought was funny.
This is typical Ayson...he will be happy, then in less than a minute, suddenly be hungry. It's kind of long, but you can see he's a happy little guy in the beginning, then he's starts giving me his "momma I'm hungry" speech.

Cute, Cute, Cute!

We had a relaxing little weekend at home. Ayson is starting to be awake for longer periods during the day...and entertaining us with all of his smiles and chattering while he is awake. But, even more exciting...he only wakes up at most two times during the night...THANK YOU AYSON :) Friday night he slept from 10:45-4:00, ate, then went back to sleep until 7:30am!

He has the sweetest little smile :)

The many faces of Ayson

It's been pretty chilly here the last couple of days, so we had to get Ayson all bundled up to go pick up Max from the groomers. He looks so cozy in his car seat...usually he is not this happy about being strapped in, until we get in the car and it starts moving :)

Here is our little monkey in his rocker/bouncer. This has become his new favorite place to hang out

And this is a funny progression of pictures...This is Ayson's sad face! It's one of his favorites, and it is usually followed by a loud cry, but today in a matter of 5 seconds he went from this...

To this...

To this...such a funny little dude :)

Ready for Christmas

Ok, so I know it's a little early, but it was cold and winter like today, and everyone was home...so we decided to put up our Christmas decorations. It was so fun, and Ayson has a lot of new lights to look at :)
Ayson's
little neck is getting so strong! He likes to lay on our chests and look up at us. He's telling Daddy all about his day :)

Weekend Fun

We had a great weekend. Ayson got to spend some time with Grammy! She came down to babysit while Aaron and I went out for the evening. It was fun to get out for a little while, but we sure missed our little man.

He is starting to get the hang of smiling, which is so fun! Up until now, he would have an occasional smile, but he hadn't quite figured it out yet. Now, he will smile at us, and and sometimes even "talk" to us. We've always known he was a happy little baby, but now he is actually showing us :)

I don't think he was as nearly excited about this hat as I was, but it is too funny!

Tummy time with Sophie :) The puppies love their new brother!

Such a cool little guy! Hats are way too much fun :)

Trying out new toys

Ayson is getting so big! Every day it seems he is doing something he didn't the day before. He is increasingly interested in his surroundings. He loves anything with light, and will follow our faces or toys when they are put in front of him. You can tell his vision is developing because he is interested in objects at farther distances. Until now, he didn't pay any attention to his mobile...now he is completely entertained by it. This is little man watching his mobile :)

Ayson also saw pictures of his friend Asher sitting like a big boy in his Bumbo, so he wanted to try it to. Bumbo's allow babies to sit upright by themselves, once they have control of their little heads. We hadn't even thought of putting him in it yet, but he does really good with head control, so we gave it a shot. He looks so tiny and cute in it...and he actually looked like he enjoyed it too :)

Look at me!

I got it..finally :) Here is little man rolling from his tummy to his back...

Relaxing Weekend

We had a nice relaxing weekend at home. It was a beautiful outside, so we took a few walks and just enjoyed the unusually nice temps for November. Auntie Allison was also here and spent a few days with us. She got some quality cuddle time with little man.

Ayson is beginning to stay awake for longer periods of time. Yesterday he was awake for a good majority of the day. He is also starting to sleep a little longer too! YEA! The last couple of nights he has gone to bed at 11:00pm, then wakes up between 2:30-3:30, then wakes up again around 6:00. Any stretch of sleep longer than 2 hours feels amazing! He continues to get stronger. His little neck is really strong now; turning it from side to side with no effort, and he has also rolled over a couple of times. I've been trying to get video of it, but he's not ready to show off his rolling skills just yet ;)

Little man in a Big chair

Ayson continues to change and grow daily. Today, I had him on his belly for some tummy time, when he pushed up on his elbows and rolled over!!!! I think it was some kind of freak accident...but hey, we are counting it :)

Here is little man hanging out in his chair in the nursery :)

Precious Moments!

We wanted to share all of Ayson's newborn pictures with you. We can't thank Heather Munson enough for photographing these priceless pictures. I didn't realize it during the photo shoot, but his little scar from his surgery when he was 3 days old is in many of these. Just a precious little reminder of his journey to be with us, and how much of a little miracle baby he really is! We love him so much!!!!

Home sweet home

So much has happened since my last post! Ayson had an appointment last Wednesday to receive his monthly RSV vaccine, so we got a new height and weight measurement. He is up to 7lbs 9oz and is 19in long. Growing like a weed :)
We also went home for Arkalalah. We had a great weekend. On a side note, it's amazing how much stuff you have to take with you when packing for a little guy...after some creative packing we managed to fit everything in the car.

This was Ayson's first trip to AC, and he got to cuddle with a lot of family this weekend :) Everyone was so excited to be able to spend some time with our sweet little guy.

We were also able to finally get Ayson's "newborn" pictures taken. Since we obviously couldn't have them taken when he was born, we had to put them off until now. Even though he is now the size of a typical newborn, he doesn't really act like one...making it more difficult to get him into those cute little picture positions. But, with some persistence, and patience from our amazing photographer, the session was a success. Heather Munson took Ayson's pictures. She does an amazing job! She posted a few from the session on her blog...we can't wait to see the rest of them :) In the meantime, check out this sneak peek.

Here are some pictures from our weekend...Enjoy!

Cousin Ashley and Ayson. Ashley drove up from OKC to see Ayson, and we couldn't get her to put him down all night :)

Ayson got to meet Auntie Allison. She has been in the land down under for the past year, and has been dying to hold him.

Kristi also got to meet little man for the first time.

Ayson invited Uncle Dave over for steaks to celebrate his birthday last Tuesday. He was wide-awake the whole time...and so was Ayson ;)
