Winter?

Winter...where are you?!  In the meantime, we have been soaking up the perfect "cruising" weather!  We exchanged Ays's convertible the day after Christmas for this truck.  Definitely more "boyish" don't you think?

Ays is loving his new truck, and it didn't take him long to get the hang of how to drive it.  He will stop and reverse when you tell him too, and he is beginning to master steering, as well.

But, his favorite thing to do, is change the radio stations.  Yes, this crazy thing has a real working radio, and I've noticed lately he will channel surf until he finds a country station...I have taught him well :)

The face of a happy kiddo!

Perfection! Don't you just want to gobble him up?!  If only he were this sweet ALL OF THE TIME ;)

Christmas (Part Deux)

We spent Christmas eve with the Wilcox side of the family.

Ayson was a blast this year.  He was so excited to open his presents, and very meticulous!  If we would have let him open all of his presents completely by himself, we would have been sitting there for days!  He likes to rip the paper piece by piece :)

Nemo was a big hit!  We cannot go anywhere without him now.

Check out his retro Radio Flyer Trike...can't wait until he learns how to ride this bad boy!

We spent Christmas morning at our house.  Aaron and I stayed up late putting things together and wrapping up the last few presents.  Ayson was even nice enough to let us sleep in until 8!  We know, we know...that probably won't happen again for like 15 years!  Santa was sure good to little man this year :)

Ayson checking out his new convertible (that would be returned the next day because we couldn't get the stupid thing to turn!)

But who needs power wheels when you have a train table.  He is seriously in choo choo heaven!

Checking out his stocking!

When all else fails, just turn the bag upside down :)

Then, we were off to AC for our next great Christmas with the rest of the family.  Little Pistol Pete was ready to go!

Eating Christmas dinner with Kiers

Yummy yummy!

These two are the best of friends!  Ayson is so interested in everything that Kierslynn does, and she is happy to share with him :)

Love, love, love them!

And finally, just to make Aaron super happy (ha),  Ayson found one of Kierslynn's purses and had to carry it with him everywhere the whole night.  Everyone thought it was hilarious...Aaron, not so much.

Oh my, he's definitely not lacking in the personality department!  Gotta love this kiddo!

Christmas 2011

Here's part 1 of our holiday festivities.  We had a great Christmas this year...as always!  Keeping with our tradition that we started last year, we took Ayson to see the Santa at Utica Square.  He seriously is the best Santa ever!  We were hoping for a better experience than last year, because Ays was actually excited to see him...well, there's always next year!

After Santa, we went to check out the lights at Rhema.

We have been going there every year since we lived in Tulsa, and plan to continue going even though we have moved.

It just keeps getting better every year!

Ays loved it, of course, and insisted on walking through it, instead of being pushed in the stroller.

Stay tuned tomorrow for more :)

From the mouth of Ays

This is so Ayson right now :)  Crazy kid can't make up his mind.  He really wants some chap stick, but he doesn't like it...go figure!

It's been looking a lot like Christmas at our house for over a week now, which makes this lady very happy!  There is something so incredibly cozy and inviting about a home when it is decorated for Christmas...and our new home is no exception!  We had so much fun decorating it, with Ays's help, of course :)

He is surprisingly more help than you might think.  Little man is pretty good a following instructions...when he wants to!  The lights were a big hit.

Also a big hit...decorating the tree :)

Pretty cute, huh!  I love our upstairs tree, it is filled with all of our sentimental ornaments.

The main tree.  LOVE LOVE LOVE!  It's real, smells great and has a theme!

Finally a theme tree...makes my heart happy ;)

Night pretties

Our cozy living room.  Thanks pinterest for the stocking hanger idea!

The guest bath is christmas-ed up too!

Merry Christmas!

Thanksgiving

We had the privilege of hosting Thanksgiving at our house this year!  It was such a great day, spent with everyone that we love...all 18 of us!  It's times like these that Aaron and I remember just how lucky we are to have such an amazing family.

Not all families are lucky enough to blend well, and have a great time together, but ours seem to do it effortlessly.  I am so mad at myself for not getting a big group photo...(pumpkin martini's may have had something to do with that ;) )  But, everyone had such a great time that I think this will be a tradition, so I will be sure and get one next year!

Since I failed to take anymore people pictures...here's a few of the tables.  Thanks to Pinterest, I had a blast decorating for Thanksgiving dinner.  I couldn't bust out my china and not try to fancy up the tables a bit ;)

Turn some wine glasses upside down, and use as candle holders...so simple, yet elegant.

The "adult" table ;)

I loved the mini-pumpkin tea light holders.  They were so easy to make...just drill a hole in the top of the pumpkin big enough to hold the tea light candle...and viola!  You have tea light candle holders :)

Thanks again to everyone who shared Thanksgiving with us.  We had one of the best ever, and can't wait to do it again next year.  Hope yours was filled with as much family and love as ours was :)
