I have been on the hunt for some fun wall decor for the upstairs bathroom. This is mainly Ayson's bathroom, but is also a guest bathroom, so I wanted it to be fun, but not scream toddler. So, when I ran across this wall art at Land of Nod, I knew I had found just what I was looking for.
How fun are these?! However, my excitement quickly turned into disappointment as soon as I saw the price...$89 a piece! You've got to be kidding me! I love Land of Nod, but their stuff is crazy expensive. Then it hit me...I could make them!!! Not only would it be WAY cheaper, but I could make it the exact colors to match the orange/gray theme we have going on in there.
So, I put Ays down for the night, popped some popcorn, opened Photoshop, and got to work. Once I was done editing, I ordered my prints from Shutterfly, then picked up a couple of frames from Hobby Lobby. And for $22 a piece, this is the finished product. I couldn't be more happy with how they turned out! Can't wait to hang them up :)
$89...PUH-LEASE! A big thanks to Land of Nod for being so ridiculously expensive that it forced me to be creative ;)

Water Baby
It's hot...so we have been keeping cool at the lake. The swimming beach at Lake Ponca is less than a mile from our house, so naturally we have been taking advantage of it.
Part of Ayson's beach attire is his bucket & shovel. He literally will not put it down the entire time we are there.
He's a happy camper as long as he can touch. For now, he's afraid of deeper water. He will walk out until the water is about chest deep, then turn right around. Safety awareness is a great thing :)

Country Livin'
Aside from the occasional spider and snake, we are LOVING our new life in the country. We are finally settled in, and ALL boxes unpacked! So, now that our house doesn't look like a hot mess of boxes and clutter, here are a few pictures of the new Casa de Wilcox ;)
Our cozy little country home. (The exterior still needs a lot of love...we'll get there eventually. We have big plans!)
Little man's room
Upstairs family room (the orange will be going bye bye soon!)
Check out the view from upstairs :)
Covered patio, overlooking the pond. One of our favorite things about this house!!!!
Aaron's new baby.

There you have it...if you want to see the rest, you are just going to have to come for a visit :) We would love to have you!!!!!
On another note, I will be switching this blog to private in the near future. Please either leave your email address in the comment section of this post, or email me at alwilcox@gmail.com
We want all of you to continue to follow our family, so please give me your email address so I can add you to the list. This is just to help keep some amount of privacy for our little family now that we have moved :)

Closet raider
There's nothing cuter than a baber clunking around in their parents shoes. Ays makes a beeline for our closet everyday, goes straight to the shoes, or "juice" as he calls them, and picks out a new pair.
For today...momma's black heels. Good choice Ays, good choice.

Getting Settled
This sweet little smile says it all...he is loving his new home, and so are we! It's been a crazy week, but things are starting to get back to normal.
Hopefully I will have time to share some more pictures in the next few days. Just wanted to let you all know that the move went well, and we are settling in to our new home :)
