We're Going to Ponca City, Ponca City, Here We Come...

That's how the song goes...right?!  Well something along those lines anyway =)  That's right friends...we have some very exciting news to share with you.  We will be packing up our little family and heading a little west and a little north in 2011.  Aaron has signed on to practice in Ponca City!!!!  We couldn't be more excited about this next chapter in our life. We have already met so many great people in the Ponca area, and just know that this is going to be a great "fit" for us.  We won't be moving until the end of Aaron's last year of residency, which will be July 2011, so for the next year we will be soaking up everything that we LOVE about Tulsa.

And now for some oh so adorable pictures of little man :)  Angela, Ayson and I went out last Friday evening to take some pictures of him for his FIRST BIRTHDAY invitations.  Can you believe it?  I know its terribly cliche, but this past year has gone by so fast!  So, anyways, back to the pictures.  We went to a few fabulous places around Tulsa in the blazing heat to try and get some good shots for his invitations.  Let's just say that high temperatures, a feisty 10-month old, and two sweaty mommas, made for an interesting sight.  I'm pretty sure people thought we were crazy (well, at least me, as I was doing acrobats trying to get Ays to smile), but it was all worth it, because we ended up with some amazing pictures!!!  He are just a few, which didn't make the cut for the invites, but were still sooooo good!

These were taken at Philbrook Museum.  This was the first time I had ever been there, and it is so beautiful!  If you are ever in Tulsa and you get a chance to go, I highly recommend it!

We found this fun red door on a church in downtown Tulsa.  It turned out to be a great background :)

We ended our session at Woodward Park.  By this point, we were hot hot hot, and Ayson was pretty much done.  But we still ended up with some really fun pictures, and as you will see, water was calling our name :)

Thank you so much to Angela for taking these pictures...you are a talented little missy :)

Ays & Frey

Ayson had his friend Theaden, or Frey as we call him, over for a playdate.  These two had so much fun together and had me laughing the whole time.  Theaden is walking and Ayson is crawling, so everywhere one went, the other one followed.  They are such good lil' buddies.

They stood up next to each other at the front door...there is just something about little tiny hand prints on clean glass that make you smile :)

Then they played with the activity table for a long time!  Ayson was watching everything that Theaden did, and then would repeat it.  It looks like they are really trying to figure something out here :)

This video is so funny.  Theaden picked up one of Ayson's toys and started shaking it...Ayson thought it was hilarious, so Theaden kept doing it.  Enjoy, its too cute!

And this is probably the most adorable thing I've ever seen!  It really doesn't get any sweeter or cuter than this!!!  You are never too old, or too young to be tickled!!!

And finally since Ayson is Mr. Standy Pants all the time now, we decided to get him a walker.  He's not really sure what to do with it just yet, because the second it starts moving, he wants to sit down.

But, by the end of tonite, he actually took a few little baby steps.  He'll probably be pushing this thing all over the house in no time!

Bathing Beau

By now, you know just how much Ayson LOVES bath time.  And now that he is mobile, he has taken it to a whole new level.  His excitement starts before he even gets in the bathtub!!!  He crawls over to the tub, stands up...and just waits for you to put him in.  I had to grab a quick picture tonight, because he looked to darn cute standing there with his little diaper butt.

Ahh, look how happy he is for his bath.  He will always be this excited about getting clean...right?  =)

Happy Da-da's Day!

Happy first Father's Day to Aaron...Ayson and I love you very much!!  And of course, we can't forget about our amazing dad's...thanks for all that you do!  We love you too :)

Ayson helped Aaron open his Father's Day gift.  I thought this pic was too funny because Ayson looked like a mini version of Aaron in his Khaki shorts with no shirt on :)

Little man got Da-da something he can hang in his future office!  The football has one of Ays's footprints on it, but its kind of hard to see in this picture.  It turned out so great!

We went to a cookout at Loren and Pam's house yesterday and had such a great time!

Ayson loved Russell.  He wanted to follow him around everywhere.

We also got to do some swimming in their amazing pool!  Little man is showing off his floating skills.  He was doing so great floating on his back...and he even went under water too :)

Busy Busy Bee

Little Mr. Standy Pants has been keeping us on our toes the last couple of days.  He's pretty steady on his feet now, as long as he's hanging on to something.  He has perfected this skill by pulling up on everything in sight.  This is how I found him this morning when I went to get him up...my morning sunshine standing to greet me :)  After I snuck this pic he started chewing on his crib!  Time to get some crib guards and lower the mattress...again!

Here's a look at captain busy pants and his pulling up adventures from yesterday and today...nothing is safe on the end table anymore.

Having fun with his activity table...

getting a little closer look at the tv...

helping momma give Max a bath.  He crawled right up to the tub, pulled up and stood there by himself for the whole bath.  He was laughing and trying to grab Max...I think he was trying to hop in there with him in this pic!

Ays playing with Sophie in the chair...not even Sophie can get away from him now :)

hmmm, these chairs are really interesting too!  Such a big kid hanging on with one hand.

Then he crawled into the kitchen and pulled up on the stove.  he really likes the stove because he can see his reflection.

After a busy morning of standing we met Braeden and Sheri at the pool.  Two little studs getting ready for a swim...

and this pic absolutely cracks me up.  Just chillin' poolside checking out the ladies ;)

And finally, we had Aaron's OSU Family Medicine Residency party last night.  We were excited to see everyone and also show off Ayson, because many of them hadn't met him yet.  We had a great time...did a lot of dancing, and Aaron even did karaoke!  Here's a group shot that the venue took.  Such a fun group of people!!!!

The Army Crawl has Evolved

Ayson's army crawl has finally turned into a full blown crawl.  He has been crawling short distances for about a week or so, but today he decided that he wanted to crawl everywhere...and he is quick!  So, between pulling up on EVERYTHING and crawling EVERYWHERE, our lives just got a little more eventful.

Pool Boy

When we aren't going to the big pool, we are soaking up the sun in Ayson's kiddie pool from Grammy and Pops.  Ayson is turning into a little fishy!  He loves his floaty when he is in deeper water, but he also loves to "swim" around on his tummy in shallow water.

He laughs and scoots around to try and catch his toys.

This little baby pool was perfect for him until...

he figured out that he could pull the sides down...then it became a game of how fast can he let the water out.

Needless to say, we'll be going to get a pool that is Mr. Destroyer tested and approved ;)

And here's a few randoms from this weekend.  Here's Ayson sporting his new Joe's shirt from Auntie A!

How cute is that!!  Thanks Auntie A!

We were finally able to get a decent pic of Ayson's two front bottom teeth...hello toothy grin :)

And we finally saw little man pull himself to his feet today.  Once he figured it out, there was no stopping him!  He was a pulling-up fool :)  He's still a little wobbly on his feet, but is starting to get the hang of it.

Standing!!!

Being sick sure hasn't slowed this kid down at all!  Ayson is feeling much better today...thank goodness!  We even had him smiling and laughing last night.  He is a pro at pulling up to his knees now.  He pulls up on everything!  We put the legs on his activity table so he loves to pull up on it.

He also loves to pull up on the entertainment center...he's a busy kiddo ;)

But his newest exciting feat is standing!!!  I couldn't believe it!  I left him in the middle of the living room floor while I went in the kitchen for a minute.  When I came back, I found him STANDING holding on to the end table.  Where in the heck did that come from?!  Of course the little stinker did it when I wasn't looking!  But, I managed to grab a pic before he fell on his diaper booty :)
