New Things, Playdates & Cookies!

Wow!  We have a had a busy weekend!  On Friday, we had a playdate with Ayson's friends Braeden and Dominic.  Ayson was so excited to see Braeden again and meet Dominic for the first time!  He was looking super handsome in his big boy clothes...I have a serious obsession with dressing him like a mini man :)

Ayson taught Dominic how to sit :)  They both sat up next to each other and talked and played...it was so funny!

Saturday was rainy for most of the day, so we decided to make some chocolate chip cookies.  Ayson is such a big helper.  He sat on the counter and watched me mix everything, meanwhile trying to grab EVERYTHING within arms reach.  It was pretty interesting trying to juggle both him and the cookies!

Admiring all his hard work ;)  They actually turned out pretty good...it's amazing I didn't forget an ingredient amidst all the chaos.    

And finally, Ayson got some new toys today.  We got him these fun little drums so he has something to pound on while he's sitting up.  He really likes them so far.  They light up and play music, so they were an instant hit.

And the most exciting new toy...a swing set!  One of Aaron's fellow residents moved this weekend and didn't want to take it along to their new house, so they asked us if we wanted it...of course!  It is perfect for Ayson :)

Once we got it set up, Ayson tried out the swing.  He had a blast...he was swinging and smiling.  

It will be so fun to have this in our backyard for Ayson & his friends to play with ;)
